CURIO
A curio may be defined as any item that an individual finds interesting.
Curio Club challenges members to engage with the world and document their interests on curio cards, building up a portfolio of interesting facts and observations to treasure and share.
how it WORKS
We host mixed-age workshops for children ages 5 to 13, supported by a parent or guardian. At our workshops, we issue challenges designed to spark the curiosity of members, urging them to explore their world in search of things that interest them personally.
Members document their response to challenges on a curio card, and then share their curio with the group at our weekly circle. Over time, members build up a portfolio of their own treasured facts, observations, and art--alongside numerous experiences sharing curios and learning from friends.
After weeks of exploration, work culminates in an open house showcase for friends and family, where members display their curio card portfolio alongside a variety of other projects prepared for the event.
